Hablo Español
Parlo ItalianoDr. Alterman is a native of Colombia, South America, where she lived until finishing high school. In 1979 her family moved to the United States and they have made this country their home since then. She graduated from Life University in 1984 and had practiced alone and in a partnership in Michigan and Florida for 10 years before joining her practice with Dr. Johnson's.
For over 35 years Dr. Alterman has been practicing family chiropractic in Jacksonville Beach. Several years ago, she became intensely more interested in pre-natal chiropractic and, as a result of that, acquired special training that exclusively teaches the practice of the chiropractic art, science and philosophy as it pertains to the care of pregnant women. She is certified in the only two existing prenatal chiropractic methods: The Webster Technique and The Bagnell Technique. In 2014 'Blooming Bellies - Mommy and Me Chiropractic' was opened to the public; this is an office exclusively for pregnant moms and children and is the second location for Alterman & Johnson Family Chiropractors.
Dr. Alterman conducts seminars for the public and for health professionals who care for pregnant women, to explain the benefits of chiropractic. Contact the office should you have any questions or if you'd like to ask Dr. Alterman to speak to your group or organization.
